Most French courses teach through English. Many Ethiopian learners think in Amharic, and translating twice slows them down. Fluentian explains French in the language you already think in.

Watch one sentence cross into French

  1. 1Read it in Amharic
  2. 2See it word by word
  3. 3Move the verb
  4. 4Add what French needs

Add what French needs

እኔ ቡና እጠጣለሁ — Je bois du café. Amharic puts the verb last. French puts it straight after the subject. « du » has no Amharic equivalent: French needs an article before « café ».
