Fluentian is a French-learning application operated by Binova Technologies. This policy explains how Fluentian handles information when you use the mobile application, this website, and related services.
1.Information we collect
Account and profile information (email, username, display name, securely hashed password, optional bio, learning goal and level); learning information (placement answers, lesson and quiz answers, progress, XP, streaks, saved vocabulary); social information (friend requests, challenges, messages, reports and blocks); voice and video (microphone and, for video calls, camera access during speaking rooms, transmitted through LiveKit - Fluentian does not intentionally record or store call audio or video); AI tutor content you submit; opportunity application details, only if you choose to apply; and device/notification information.
2.Why we use information
To create and secure accounts, deliver lessons and personalized progress, enable the social and live-speaking features you choose, send notifications you enable, prevent abuse, and operate and improve Fluentian. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
3.Service providers and sharing
We share data only as needed to operate Fluentian: Firebase/Google for authentication and push notifications, LiveKit for real-time audio/video rooms, our AI providers for AI tutor requests, Brevo for transactional account emails, and our hosting providers. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users and our service.
4.Security
Fluentian uses HTTPS/TLS, encrypted storage for session tokens, and access controls. No system can guarantee absolute security; protect your account credentials and use only trusted devices.
5.Retention and deletion
You can permanently delete your account and associated data from Settings → Privacy & account → Delete my account in the app. This removes your account, profile, learning data, messages, and device tokens, except information we must retain for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
6.Children
Fluentian is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can remove it.
7.Changes and contact
