Lessons that explain, then make you try
Every unit mixes vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading and exam drills. Each one is explained in Amharic, then checked with exercises as you go.

French and English first, every lesson explained in Amharic. Listen, speak and practise with an AI tutor and real learners. Behind it, we build speech and language AI for Africa's under-resourced languages.
The Android app launches soon, and it's free to start.

Most French courses teach through English. Many Ethiopian learners think in Amharic, and translating twice slows them down. Fluentian explains French in the language you already think in.
Add what French needs
እኔ ቡና እጠጣለሁ — Je bois du café. Amharic puts the verb last. French puts it straight after the subject. « du » has no Amharic equivalent: French needs an article before « café ».
